Kilkenny artist takes centre stage at Ireland’s largest art fair
An acclaimed Kilkenny artist, who rose to national prominence after appearing on a popular TV show, is set to be the centre of attention at Ireland’s largest art fair.
Castlecomer’s Jane Willoughby and her keen eye for decoration came to national prominence when her house featured on RTÉ’s Home of the Year 2019. Now her collection will be on display at Art Source in the RDS in Dublin.
Jane has a particular talent for interior design and specialises in hand-painted panels inspired by art history and has been commissioned for by the likes of Straffan House in Kildare and Mount Juliet in Thomastown to create painting schemes.
“I wanted to use the whole house as a gallery for my paintings, to show people how they would fit into the interior and complement it,” Jane said.
Art Source takes place at the RDS, Dublin, from November 15-17 and will not only feature Jane’s work but work by internationally renowned street artist, Banksy.
