Fears grow for family pet who bolted from Kilkenny home in fear after firework went off

A public appeal has been launched to help track down a beloved family pet who fled his home after he was startled by fireworks going off nearby.

The owners of ‘Eddie’ believe he bolted in fear after the firework went off close to their home in Kilkenny city on Saturday night.

Local gardai have also joined in the appeal to reunite Eddie with his worried family.

A Garda spokesperson said on social media: “Eddie is an energetic chap who’s jumped his fence before but always come home. His owners fear he may have been startled by a firework. Please share and let’s get Eddie back to his family.”
