Firearm stolen during break-in at county Kilkenny home while owner was away
GARDAI are investigating the theft of a firearm from a home in county Kilkenny.
Kilkenny gardai confirmed the owner of the property in Mountfinn, Urlingford returned home to discover a window had been forced open.
They quickly noticed several items had been stolen, including a distinctive Waterford Glass vase.
A local Garda spokesperson said a legally held firearm was also taken in the course of the burglary.
The theft occurred sometime between 10.30am and 8pm on Wednesday, September 18.
Gardai have urged potential eyewitnesses or anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact Urlingford Garda Station on 056 883 1133.
