A FIVE-in-a-row All-Ireland winner is in Kilkenny this week to throw his considerable weight behind a programme focusing on community inclusion for people with intellectual disability.

Dean Rock, Dublin footballer and part of the record-breaking team that picked up it’s fifth All-Ireland on the trot just last month, is a guest speaker at Kilkenny Leadership Partnership’s information night being held this Friday at Langton’s Ballroom.

Rock works as communications and fundraising manager for Stewarts Care, a centre for adults with Intellectual Disabilities in Dublin.

The event called “A road towards community inclusion for people with intellectual disability,” will see Rock being joined on the panel by Dr. Fintan Sheerin – Head of intellectual disability nursing at Trinity College Dublin, Anna Buggy of the Women’s Gaelic Players Association, Grainne Cuggy – Advocate – My Personal Journey and Joanne Dowling – Inclusion in camogie for people with an intellectual disability.

The night begins at 7.30pm. For more information visit Kilkenny Leader Partnership’s website.
