One of Ireland’s leading supermarket retailers has announced it is extending the opening hours of its Kilkenny stores in the run-up to Christmas.

Aldi Ireland confirm its five stores in Kilkenny city and county will open later over Christmas week to ensure their customers can do their festive shopping quickly and safely at a time that suits them best.

Aldi will open their two stores in Kilkenny city and stores in Callan, Graiguenamanagh and Ferrybank at 8am from Monday, December 21 until Thursday, December 24, and close at 11pm on each of those days bar Christmas Eve, when they will close at 7pm.

Aldi Group managing director Niall O’Connor said: “Providing a safe environment for our customers and staff is our number one priority.

“The vast majority of our stores will be open from 8am-11pm during Christmas week to spread the demand and allow customers shop when suits them best.
