For the prose: Submissions sought for Kilkenny’s popular poetry publication

A popular publication that gives writers from across Kilkenny a platform for their work is seeking submissions for its latest book.

The Kilkenny Poetry Broadsheet is now in its 21st year and is growing in popularity with local writers and literature lovers.

Last year a total of 47 writers sent in 91 poems for consideration for the Broadsheet.  In the end, 12 poems from 12 writers were chosen for the book, which is made available free throughout the city and county through the library network and other venues.

The closing date for receipt of submissions is Thursday, April 1. A workshop hosted by the well-known poet Jessica Taylor (pictured) will hold an online workshop for those considering submitting work.
