Former Kilkenny hurling star still making a big impact Down Under
Former Kilkenny underage hurling star Darragh Joyce has signed a new one-year contract with the Brisbane Lions.
The contracts means Joyce (27) extends his Aussie Rules career into a ninth year.
The Rower-Inistioge clubman rose to sporting prominence when he captained Kilkenny to All-Ireland minor glory against Limerick in 2014. The same year, his brother Kieran was the Man of the Match for Kilkenny’s seniors in their replay triumph over Tipperary.
