Free energy audits offered to Kilkenny businesses

Up to 150 Kilkenny businesses are invited to avail of free energy audits in order to begin their sustainability journey.

The audits are offered by 3 Counties Audit Agency (3CEA) whose aim is to help businesses improve sustainable measures and reduce costs.

Businesses must have fewer than 50 employees and be from one of the following sectors: nursing homes and healthcare providers, food producers, convenience grocery stores and supermarkets or office blocks and property management companies.

3CEA has arranged a free online information session on Tuesday, November 2 at 12pm.

“The free audits are an opportunity for businesses to reduce energy usage and costs, lower their CO2 emissions and make a very positive impact on climate change,” Alexandra Hamilton, Senior Energy Engineer with 3CEA said.

If your business qualifies, you may qualify for further grant assistance for items such as solar panels and energy-efficient heating.
