Gang steal truckload of timber from county Kilkenny building site

A gang of burglars literally lifted the roof off a construction site in Kilkenny in a well-planned and organised heist.

The incident happened on a building site at Ballyoden just outside Graiguenamanagh between 5.30pm Monday, March 23 and 8am Tuesday, March 24.

Burglars entered the site and took 46 lengths of roofing timbers which included 18ft 9×2 beams, 16ft 9×2 beams and 15ft 4×3 timbers.

Gardai believe the burglars would have had significant transport equipment to remove the load from the site.
