Garda investigation into break-in at Kilkenny’s Cathedral
An investigation has been launched following an attempted break-in at the Catholic Cathedral in Kilkenny city.
The attempted burglary occurred at St Mary’s Cathedral on James’s Street sometime between 5.30pm on Wednesday, October 21 and 12pm on Thursday, October 22.
When the Cathedral was opened on Thursday it was noticed there was damage and marks on the door of the storeroom.
However, in spite of concerted attempts to gain access the burglars did not manage to prize open the door.
