Burglars stole two TVs after ransacking Kilkenny family home

HEARTLESS thieves stole two TVs after ransacking a home in Kilkenny city while the owners were away.

The owners got a nasty surprise when they returned to their home on Pearse Street on Sunday morning.

The interior of the house had been turned inside out by burglars looking for valuables, who eventually made off with two expensive TVs.

Kilkenny gardai said the thieves gained entry to the house by forcing open a window at the rear of the property.

They estimate the burglary took place sometime between 5pm last Saturday, February 16, and 6.15am the following morning.
