Gardai out in force in county Kilkenny town this evening
CASTLECOMER will be one of the safest places in the country this evening as up to 20 gardai descend on the north Kilkenny town.
The Garda force, backed by an Incident Command Vehicle, will visit up to 400 homes in the town as part of the Operation Home Safe initiative.
Crime Prevention Officer Peter McConnon and senior officers will be calling to individual homes dispensing helpful crime prevention tips and advice and listening to the concerns of people in Castlecomer.
