Gardaí renew appeal for information about murdered Kilkenny woman; search operation to continue into next week
Gardaí today launched a renewed appeal for anyone who may have any information relating to the disappearance and murder of Kilkenny woman Josephine ‘Jo Jo’ Dullard to come forward.
A garda spokesperson also confirmed a major search operation and excavation works at a large tract of land near the Wicklow/Kildare border border which begun this week as part of their investigation will continue into next week.
Earlier this week a man in his 50s was arrested as part of the investigation into Ms Dullard’s murder. It was the first ever arrest in the three-decades-old case, which was upgraded from a missing persons case to a murder investigation four years ago.
However, the suspect was later released without charge.
In a statement, gardaí said its “investigations are ongoing”.
A spokesperson said: “The search operation on open ground at a location in Co. Wicklow near the Wicklow/Kildare border remains ongoing. It is expected to continue over the weekend and into early next week.
