Go-ahead given for plans to extend new family home development in Kilkenny
Kilkenny County Council has approved plans to build more homes in a development initially granted permission early this year.
In January, Kilkenny County Council gave the green light for the construction of 44 new family homes at a development at Rath Ullord, New Orchard, Newtown on the Bonnettsrath Road.
The developer, Wexford-based Madill Property Limited, went back to the local authority seeking permission to add an extra seven houses on the site as part of the development.
The council, after studying the new plans, gave Madill the all clear, and now the estate at Rath Ullord when completed will consist of 51 homes.
The new houses will comprise of detached and semi-detached two-storey, four bedroom homes.
The houses currently under construction as part of the initial planning permission are four five-bedroom houses and 39 four-bedroom homes.
