By COLIN BARTLEY

A MAN walked through the door of a county Kilkenny business and was met with screaming staff telling him his 4X4 had just been stolen literally behind his back.

The shocking daylight robbery occurred on Hugginstown’s Main Street on Tuesday morning.

The man pulled up to the entrance of a business in the village. He got out of his Toyota Landcruiser and made his way into the premises.

Just as he got inside the door, he was stunned to be greeted by staff shouting at him that his 4X4 had been robbed.

CCTV captured a man jumping into the 4X4 before driving off.

A local Garda spokesperson told KilkennyNow.ie: “We are looking for a male in his early 20’s who is of slim build in relation to this theft.

“The stolen vehicle is a Toyota Landcruiser, 05-Reg.”

Anyone with any information about the theft, or happened to be in the Hugginstown area at around 11 am on Tuesday and has a dashcam, is urged to contact gardai in Ballyhale on 056 776 8602.
