Good job: Live register figures continue to tumble in Kilkenny – report
More than 70 people signed off the Live Register in Kilkenny last month, despite the lockdown restrictions still being in place.
New figures published by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) reveal a total of 2,873 people in Kilkenny signed on at the end of April. This is down from the 2,947 people recorded signing on at the end of last month.
The CSO figures reveal there are actually 400 less people in Kilkenny on the live register now than when the Covid-19 crisis started in Ireland back in March last year.
In March 2020, when the pandemic kicked in, 3,275 people in Kilkenny were signing on the Live Register, 402 more than the current figure.
