He started it! Two men involved in city-centre brawl file charges against each other
TWO men who were involved in a late-night punch up in the city-centre have lodged criminal complaints against each other following the fracas.
The pair got involved in a row on John Street at 10.25am last Friday, March 1.
According to a source, the row escalated and punches were traded, leaving both men with “minor injuries”.
Afterwards one of the men reported the incident to Kilkenny gardai and filed a criminal complain against the other individual.
When gardai contacted this man, he claimed he was the injured party and subsequently lodged a complaint against his accuser.
Kilkenny gardai say they are following a “definite line of inquiry”. They are trawling through CCTV footage from the area as part of their investigation.
They have also urged any eyewitnesses to the incident to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
