History in the remaking: get a taste of what life was like in county Kilkenny in 1830s

MEMBERS of the public will this week be able to get a rare insight of what it was like to live in parts of county Kilkenny almost 200 years ago.

Well-known historian and genealogist Frank Clarke from Glynn, St Mullins, is giving a talk on “everyday life in 1830s” at the library in Graiguenamanagh on Friday, February 15.

In his address to the Graiguenamanagh Historical Society, Frank will give a unique insight into the terrible living conditions people who were living in the Baronies of Gowran and St. Mullins endured at the time.
