‘How does it feel’ – Kilkenny ready as 28,000 fans descend on city for Dylan & Young gig
KILKENNY is all set for the big gig in Nowlan Park on Sunday afternoon.
And the good news is the weather is set to be glorious for the Bob Dylan and Neil Young gig, with temperatures set to hit 26 degrees, so bring the factors 50.
Some tickets are still available for the gig, but as reported by KilkennyNow.ie – accommodation is non-existent.
The pitch at Nowlan Park is being laid over in protective flooring to protect the surface for the rest of the club hurling season, while the stage is nearly complete.
Gardai have put in place a traffic plan for the 28,000 fans expected to descend on the city, and the garda helicopter will be in the skies over the weekend to help with crowd control.
A festive atmosphere is expected throughout the weekend and numerous free events have been laid for the fans of the folk legends.
The gates open at 4 pm on Sunday. Glen Hansard is on first at 5 pm, Neil Young is set to appear just after 6 pm, while Bob Dylan is set to take the stage at 8.45pm.
