Huge new development to create homes for over 350 people in county Kilkenny

PLANS to create a large 98-home development in county Kilkenny have been submitted to the local authority.
Michael Doyle Civil Engineering Limited, based in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, has applied to Kilkenny County Council to construct housing for over 350 people at Abbeylands, Ferrybank.
The planning application is for the construction of 36 two-storey, three bed semi-detached house, which would have the option of an attic conversion and a sun room; 30 two-storey four-bed semi-detached homes, again with the option of an attic conversion and a sun room; 16 two-bed apartments and 16-one bed apartments divided over eight blocks.
The plans also request a road entrance off Clover Avenue, pedestrian access, landscaping, car parking, signage, drainage connections and all associated site development works.
