Hundreds of Kilkenny folk will link arms to raise funds for Chernobyl projects
PEOPLE in Kilkenny will form a human chain this evening to fund essential supplies for Chernobyl children.
The chain will form around High Street, Kieran Street & Rose Inn Street at 6 pm this evening.
The guests of honour at the event are the 25 Belarusian children currently visiting Kilkenny as part of the Chernobyl Kilkenny Outreach Group.
Organisers are “urging everyone to make a big effort to join this chain.”
“The funds may be going to much-needed supplies for the Chernobyl children, but this chain is about the power of coming together as a city, and showing what Kilkenny is made of.”
