Kilkenny election candidate withdraws from race for ‘personal and health reasons’
INDEPENDENT candidate Paul Brophy has announced he will not now contest next month’s local elections.
Mr Brophy said he took his decision because of “personal and health reasons”.
In a statement, he said: “Due to personal and health reasons I am no longer in a position to continue as a candidate in the local elections.
“I would like to sincerely thank everyone for their support to date and wish all candidates the very best of luck in the coming weeks.”
