Kilkenny gardaí arrest driver caught with green diesel at checkpoint
A motorist whose vehicle was fuelled with illegal green diesel was arrested at a ‘multi-agency’ checkpoint, Kilkenny gardaí confirmed.
A local garda spokesperson said the driver also had no insurance “as well as a few other offences”.
And in a warning to other drivers, they added: “They never established how many shades of green diesel there are but any emerald tinge in your tank earns a trip to the District Court.”
