Kilkenny gardai seize high-end imported car after discovering it has never been taxed here
A high-end imported car, which has never been taxed since it entered the country, has been seized by Kilkenny gardai.
Gardai were on patrol in Kilkenny City yesterday morning when they came upon a grey BMW 5-series car.
Using the new Garda mobility device, introduced to the force earlier this year, the gardai discovered the BMW was imported into the country two years ago, but has not been taxed since its arrival.
The gardai seized the BMW 5 series this morning under Section 41 of the Road Traffic Act.
The car has been registered in Ireland.
