Kilkenny great to host Legends Tour in Croke Park

A KILKENNY GAA legend will be the first person to feel the heat in Croke Park this Saturday, well before a sliothar is thrown in.
Nine-time All-Ireland winner Tommy Walsh, one of the greatest defenders ever to hold a hurl, will be the host of the Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tour at Croke Park this Saturday.
Tommy’s appearance has proven very popular as the event is sold out, and with good reason.
The Tulloran man will look back over his illustrious career, which includes ten Leinster titles, seven league titles, two Leinster school titles, an All-Ireland school title, a county minor and county U-21 title, as well as nine consecutive All-Stars.
So, there will be a lot to go over, and just in time for the two Kilkenny v Limerick All-Ireland semi-finals. The minor match throws in at 4pm, with the main event starting at 6pm.
Tommy Walsh becomes the third hurling legend in the series, following Clare’s Brian Lohan and Wexford’s Martin Storey.
The football legends are Kerry’s Kieran Donaghy, Armagh’s Aaron Kernan, Donegal’s Eugene Magee, and Meath’s Martin O’Connell.
