Kilkenny homeowner terrified as masked men break into his home and steal cash
A county Kilkenny homeowner was subjected to a terrifying ordeal after masked burglars broke into his home and made off with his cash.
The break-in occurred at a house in the Castleview area of Gowran between 9pm and 9.45pm last Thursday.
A local Garda spokesperson confirmed: “The culprits forced two doors open in order to gain access to the house. The homeowner, who was at home at the time, described the culprits as being all dressed in black with white scarves covering their faces. The house was searched and money was taken.”
A car was observed outside the house at the time, which has been described as metallic, possibly silver or light brown.
Gardai in Kilkenny are investigating the break-in.
They have urged eyewitnesses or anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact Goresbridge Garda Station on 059 977 5202.
