Motorists face major delays at Kilkenny town as road works get underway
Kilkenny motorists making essential journeys have been warned to expect expect delays if they are passing through Gowran over the three days.
The Main Street in the town will be closed today, tomorrow and Thursday 29 from 8am until 6pm to facilitate resurfacing works.
Kilkenny County Council is carrying out the works.
Traffic is being diverted onto the R702 and R712 via Clara and Paulstown.
People are being reminded that they should not travel more than five kilometres from their homes unless the journey is essential.
