Kilkenny people urged to donate blood and help save lives
PEOPLE in Kilkenny are being urged to give blood in the city today.
The blood donation drive will take place in the Newpark Hotel from noon to 3.30pm. You will also get the chance to donate blood at the same venue between 4.30pm to 8pm from tomorrow to Thursday.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service has said it needs 3,000 units per week to cater for the demand. There were over 13,000 units used in Kilkenny and the South East alone last year.
