Kilkenny residents targeted by scam callers with Wexford numbers
Kilkenny residents continue to be plauged by scam callers – the latest originating from 053 numbers indicating they are originating from neighbouring Wexford.
Gardai issued their usual advice when it comes to dealing with suspected fradsters – “don’t engage a hang up when you hear the automated voice message”.
But a local Garda spokesperson joked: “Still answer your phone as usual in case it’s your Aunty Eithne ringing from Rosslare inviting you down for a paddle and a barbecue! Stay Safe”
