Kilkenny school gets green light for exciting expansion plans

A county Kilkenny primary school has been given the green light to build an extension to create extra space for its students and for special learning facilities.

The local authority has granted approval to the Board of Management of St Patrick’s National School, Strangsmills, Kilmacow, to its plans to build a large extension onto the existing school building.

The extension will comprise of a new classroom, two special education training rooms, a user assisted toilet and a new link corridor to the existing building.

The mixed-gender school currently caters for around 200 students.
