Kilkenny town to benefit from Operation Homesafe

GARDAI will be making house calls in county Kilkenny to advise homeowners on home security.
Operation Homesafe, an initiative to make people in rural communities aware of how to keep their homes and belongings safe, will take place in Callan tomorrow evening.
Sergeant Ciaran Sheahan is calling to houses in Callan between 4.30pm and 8 pm, to allow homeowners raise questions regarding home security.
While burglaries in Kilkenny are on a downward trend, gardai continue to work with communities, especially rural communities, to raise awareness of prevention.
The areas gardai are visiting during Operation Homesafe are:
- Friary Walk
- Friary Walk Phase 2
- Collaire Court
- Kilkenny Road
- Avonree Court
- Kiln Lane
