KILKENNY WEATHER: Some good news to put a spring in your step this weekend
Kilkenny can look forward to a largely dry weekend with plenty of sunny spells to put a spring in our step.
Met Éireann said today will be “mostly dry with a good deal of cloud”. But there will be sunny breaks too, especially in Kilkenny and the rest of south Leinster and Munster, with highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.
Tomorrow is likely to be overcast, but with a good deal of dry weather. Met Éireann said: “Just some patchy drizzle, mainly on hills and coasts. Highest temperatures of 9 to 11 or 12 degrees Celsius, in a light northerly or variable breeze.”
Sunday is set to be a bright and sunny day, with Kilkenny and the south east again enjoying the best of the weather. The national forecaster added: “Current indications suggest that Sunday will be the brighter day of the two this weekend, with the best of the sunny spells likely across the eastern half of Ireland. Dull and damp at times in the west of Connacht and the southwest of Munster. Highest temperatures of 9 to 11 or 12 degrees Celsius, in a light westerly or variable breeze.”
Cloudiers weather with scattered falls of showery rain is forecast for Monday, although Kilkenny and the east of the country will enjoy sunny spells earlier in the day and highest temperatures of between 10 to 13 degrees.
