WATCH: Dancing dad, stunning gymnastics and a bemused pony … Kilkenny village is latest to step up to Jerusalema dance challenge
Beautiful Bennettsbridge is the latest Kilkenny community to come together to take on the Jerusalema dance challenge that has swept the globe.
The picturesque Nore side village put its best foot forward as young and old members of the community followed in the footsteps of Graiguenamanagh’s recent excellent take on the dance craze. County Kilkenny also featured prominantly in An Garda Siochána’s take on the dance phenonemon, with our boys and girls in blue racking up over a million hits online.
The Bennettsbridge video has already racked up over 2,000 hits online since it went live on YouTube a few days ago. It features several local businesses, including Nicholas Mosse pottery, Crotty’s Pharmacy, O’Donnell’s Bar and the Centra shop and some sweeping shots of the historic arched bridge.
Members of the local GAA club of all ages also feature prominantly in the video, along with a dancing dad complete with baby in his arms, some stunning gymnastic moves and a somewhat reluctant pony!
