Kilkenny’s Cartoon Saloon takes big film prize at IFTA awards
The animated feature film set in Kilkenny that has wowed audiences globally has picked up yet another prestigious gong.
Wolfwalkers, by renowned animation studio, Cartoon Saloon, picked up the Best Film title at the Irish Film and Television Awards, which were held virtually last night.
The film set in medieval Kilkenny can now add the IFTA to the five Annie Awards it won at the International Animated Film Association Gala and the Golden Feline award by PETA, both earlier in the awards season.
RTÉ’s hugely successful series Normal People was a big winner on the night, taking no fewer than nine awards in total.
The awards saw a plethora of celebs making special appearances including Olivia Colman, Sir Bob Geldof, and Star War’s Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill.
