Kilkenny’s finest female musicians and artists come together to celebrate International Women’s Day

Some of Kilkenny’s finest musicians and visual artists are coming together for a unique and inspiring show to celebrate International Women’s Day.

“Through Her Eyes” features a collective of women from the South Kilkenny, South Tipperary and East Waterford area coming together for an evening of entertainment with inspiring original and cover music, blended with pop-up drama, interpretive ballet, and liberating spoken word, combined with a visual arts exhibition.

Directed by Breege Phelan, the show takes place this Saturday, March 7, in Carrick-on-Suir’s famed Brewery Lane Theatre.

“Through Her Eyes” brings together an amazing 17 piece ensemble of musicians including Kilkenny musicians Caoileann O’Mahony from Skough and Kate McDonald from Thomastown. Some of Kilkenny’s most talented artists will be showcasing their work also and include Renée Ní Gig from Tullahought, and Aislinn and Roisín Duggan, both from Owning.

Doors open this Saturday night at 7pm, tickets are €15 and can be booked through the Tudor Artisan Hub in Carrick on 051 640 921.
