BANK HOLIDAY WEATHER: Sunshine and showers in store for Kilkenny this weekend

There’s seems to be no let up in the mixed bag of weather as we head into the August Bank Holiday.
Today will start off very mild and humid, dry and bright before rain spreads east and south, according to Mét Eireann.
Thunder is possible by early afternoon but it will become brighter and fresher from the west through the afternoon and evening with sunny spells and some showers.
Highest temperatures of 18 to 23 degrees with moderate southerly breezes veering westerly later.
Tonight will see spells and some showers, which will mostly die out overnight. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.
Saturday will bring another mix of sunny spells and showers with some heavy or prolonged during the afternoon and evening.
They’ll gradually die out during Saturday night, with highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees with moderate southwest breezes.
Sunday will be a bright day with sunshine and showers.
