IT was a pretty miserable start to the week, but we’re in for a scorching Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
Met Éireann has forecast temperatures of up to 20C on what is set to be a very Good Friday – and it’s predicted to get even hotter on Saturday and Sunday.
Forecaster Liz Walsh said: “As we progress into the week, it’s going to start getting warmer. By Easter weekend, we could see temperatures of up to 23C – a much better outlook for the holiday weekend.”
Mist and fog throughout Kilkenny and parts of Leinster will gradually lift this morning, leaving “a dry day today with a mix of cloud and hazy sunshine”, according to Met Éireann.
It will remain dry tonight with a few patches of mist and fog developing.
The national forecaster predicts tomorrow will also be dry, with some “good sunny spells” and temperatures rising to as high as 18C in parts in the county.
