L-driver had no insurance, tax or NCT when stopped by gardaí in Kilkenny
A learner driver’s car was seized after he were caught driving with no insurance, tax or a valid NCT.
The rogue motorist was caught red handed when his vehicle activated the ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) on a garda vehicle.
Gardaí also said the hapless L-driver was unaccompanied and not wearing his seatbelt when they were stopped on the Callan Road in Kilkenny yesterday evening.
A local garda spokesperson said: “The motorist, now a pedestrian was travelling along the Callan Road in Kilkenny when stopped. To compound matters not only was his vehicle uninsured but also untaxed with no NCT being driven by a Learner unaccompanied sitting on his seatbelt.”
They added: “A trip to the impound was called for. On the bright side it’s unseasonably mild this afternoon so it’s a perfect opportunity to get those steps in.”
