LATEST: Almost 1,500 new cases of virus confirmed
A further 1,459 more people have contracted Covid-19, the Department of Health confirmed this evening.
And the number of patients being treated in hospital with the virus now stands at 296, a rise of 14 on yesterday.
Of these, 65 are being treated in ICU, unchanged since yesterday.
