LATEST: Kilkenny among 738 new cases of virus as 13 further deaths confirmed
A further 13 people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 738 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.
The overall death toll as a result of the virus now stands at 4,313. There have now been 218,980 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 311 are in Dublin, 54 in Limerick, 36 in Cork, 34 in Offaly, 33 in Donegal and the remaining 270 cases are spread across 20 other counties, including five further infections in Kilkenny.
