LATEST: No Kilkenny infections among 400 new cases of virus, seven further deaths confirmed
A further seven people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 400 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.
The overall death toll as a result of the virus has now reached 4,737. There have now been 239,723 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 162 in Dublin, 61 in Kildare, 26 in Cork, 21 in Galway, 17 in Donegal and the remaining 113 cases are spread across 18 other counties. No new cases were recorded in Kilkenny over the past 24 hours.
