WEATHER FORECAST: Is our Indian summer here to stay?

By COLIN BARTLEY
BEST make the most of today as it looks like our Indian Summer is about to end.
Today, Met Éireann says “will be mostly dry with sunny spells developing. Highest temperatures of 20 to 22 degrees.”
It’s possible that’s as good as it gets. The rest of the week will see outbreaks of rain with cooler and fresher conditions.
Tuesday will be a cloudy day, with a chance of some light showers. Temperatures are set to drop to 20 degrees.
Wednesday there is a good chance there will be rain. It will be a cooler and fresher day with top temperatures of just 16 to 18 degrees.
Thursday is likely to be a breezy and cloudy day with outbreaks of rain turning more showery later. It will remain cool with temperatures hitting just around 16 degrees to 18 degrees.
For festival-goers heading to the Electric Picnic next weekend, early signs are for an unsettled and cool weekend, so pack the wellies and hoodies.
