‘Let the celebrations continue’ – hurling star TJ Reid announces engagement
HURLING star TJ Reid and former Miss Kilkenny Niamh de Brún have announcement their engagement.
Niamh, who is also a well-known blogger, took to Instagram last night to deliver the good news to her followers.
Posting a picture of her and TJ, each with a glass of celebratory bubbly in hand, she simply said: “I said yes.”
TJ shared the same image on Instagram, saying: “Let the celebrations continue. Cheers to my wife to be.”
The popular couple have been inundated with congratulations from well-wishers since making their good news public.
Niamh, who is originally from Limerick, posted this morning: “Champagne for breakfast. Still in shock.”
It’s been an incredible year for TJ, who will captain Kilkenny during the forthcoming championship campaign.
Last week he brought home the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Club title to Ballyhale after the Shamrocks crushed their Galway opponents at Croke Park.
His business, TJ Reid Health & Fitness, has also been going from strength to strength and recently announced it was expanding to Galway.
