Major new housing development in county Kilkenny gets green light

The go-ahead has been given to plans to create a large 98-home development in county Kilkenny.

Kilkenny County Council has given permission to Michael Doyle Civil Engineering Limited, based in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, to construct the major new development on land at Abbeylands in Ferrybank.

The new development will see the construction of 36 two-storey, three-bed semi-detached houses, and 30 two-storey four-bed semi-detached homes, both versions coming with the option of an attic conversion and a sunroom.

There will also be eight apartment blocks constructed which will contain a total of 16 two-bed apartments and 16-one bed apartments.

Permission has also been granted for a road entrance off Clover Avenue, pedestrian access, landscaping, car parking, signage, drainage connections and all associated site development works.
