Kilkenny householder confronted by balaclava-clad thieves in his home

A Kilkenny man was confronted by the terrifying sight of two balaclava-clad men when he returned to his home.

However, the two burglars fled in a getaway car parked outside immediately after they were rumbled.

The incident happened at Grange Lower in Cuffesgrange last Saturday between 5.30pm and 5.45pm.

Once the two burglars realised the homeowner was there, they ran from the house and jumped into a car parked outside. They then sped off in the direction of Callan.

Both men were wearing thin puffer jackets. Gardai confirmed nothing was taken during the break-in.
