Man spat in victim’s face in vile unprovoked attack in Kilkenny city
Gardai in Kilkenny are hunting for a suspect who approached a man and spat in his face in a vile unprovoked attack.
The incident occurred near the entrance of Kilkenny City Library on Thursday, November 19. The victim, who had been returning from the shops at the time, reported the incident the following day.
Gardai said the attack was completely unprovoked and that the victim did not know the assailant.
The attacker is described as being around 6ft in height, of medium build with long grey hair. He was wearing a black hat at the time of the incident.
Gardai have urged anyone who may have suffered a similar experience to report the matter to Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
