MARBLE CITY NIGHTS: Sinéad Connolly’s going-out guide to Kilkenny this weekend

THE weather certainly isn’t what you might expect for June, but try not to let it dampen your spirits! Kick up your heels in Kilkenny’s hottest pubs because there’s something to suit every musical taste in the city this weekend.

Paris Texas has a DJ belting out the tunes tonight and Saturday from 9:30pm, while on Sunday there’s live music from 8:30pm. Kyteler’s Inn has its usual mix of traditional music and talented live performers throughout the weekend, and The Dylan Whiskey Bar has live music Friday and Sunday night.

You can dance the night away on Saturday night at Langtons from 10:30pm or enjoy DJ OB1 in Biddy Early’s from 9pm.

Or if jazz tickles your fancy, end the weekend on a high note with the Hot 4 Jazz Quartet in the Left Bank from 5pm.

And bring a brolly!
