MARBLE CITY NIGHTS: Sinead Connolly’s ‘got to go to’ guide for Kilkenny this weekend

IT doesn’t look as if the heatwave is going to hit the Emerald Isle, but don’t let it get you down.

Instead grab your pals and enjoy the best music Kilkenny has to offer.

The Brewery Corner is celebrating its Se7en Inch Collective’s 2nd birthday on Friday at 7pm. They are promising food and a free pint to the first 50 people in the door.

While at The Left Bank, you can enjoy The Usual Suspects at 10pm followed by Late Night Social in LB2 from 10pm.

On Saturday, John Cleere’s will host ‘40’ with support from Sola at 8pm. Admission is €5 and tickets can be bought at the door or on Eventbrite.

Another option is to head to Ryan’s Bar to see MOJOD Live and Dangerous at 10:30pm, which is sure to get you on your feet.

If you fancy some live music on Sunday drop into the Left Bank to enjoy live music and dancing with the Hot 4 Jazz Quartet from 5-7pm.

Still not ready to call it a night? Then head along to The Dylan Whiskey Bar to see Kevin & Eugene at 9:30pm.

So, even if the sun isn’t shining, there are plenty ways enjoy your summer this weekend in Kilkenny! Before we know it, it will be autumn and you’ll wonder where the summer went. Throw yourself into the weekend, enjoy the cocktails and belt out a few verses at Karaoke!
