Married couple arrested for withholding information about Ashling Murphy murder
Gardaí are questioning a man and a woman on suspicion of withholding information in connection with the murder of Ashling Murphy.
The 23-year-old teacher was attacked and killed while out for a job along the Grand Canal in Tullamore, county Offaly on January 12.
The married couple, who are in their 60s, were arrested in Dublin yesterday morning. They are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act and are being questioned at separate garda stations in Portlaoise and Tullamore.
