Mercedes owner catches thief in act as he tried to break into car in Kilkenny city
Gardai in Kilkenny are investigating a spate of more car thefts in the city.
In the latest incident, which occurred between 1am and 8am on Friday, May 1, a small amount of loose change was stolen from a silver Ford Focus that was parked in the driveway of the owner’s home in Elm Green, Ardmore.
The previous night, at around 11pm, the owner of a blue 03 Mercedes that was parked in Wellington Square disturbed a thief as he was attempting to break into the vehicle. Nothing was taken in this incident.
